What is Auricular Reflexology?
Auricular Reflexology involves pinpointing specific acupuncture points on the ears. These correspond to the organ out of balance and related condition. A tiny 1.3mm pressure ball and transparent plaster is applied to the acupuncture point on the ear. It is left on after the session for 3-5 days. This helps to stimulate the healing process and can be gently pressed to boost the effects.
The auricular balls can help improve many health conditions related to stress, such as high blood pressure, back & neck pains. There is one particular point called the Shen Men – which means ‘Heavenly Gate’ and when activated, helps to re-centre the whole body and induce calm, reduces anxiety and depression and boosts the immune system.
The auricular balls can be added at the end of reflexology or to any of the other therapies, including reiki or Indian head massage combined with chair massage to boost the healing process!
